Can I Really Earn By Listening To The Radio? RadioLoyalty Review

RadioLoyalty Review

Thanks for joining us today as we take an in-depth look at RadioLoyalty.

This platform claims that it will reward you just for listening to the radio. We decided to check this out to see if that’s true, and if it is whether it really is worth your time

We signed up to give it a test run and find out just what the earning potential is. Unfortunately we discovered that the earning potential is very low.

However if you love listening to the radio, and earning a little extra for doing what you love, then RadioLoyalty could still be for you…..So sit tight and let’s get started…

What Is RadioLoyalty?

RadioLoyalty  is website where you can get rewarded for listening to the radio stations that you love. The service is available worldwide except in countries where it is prohibited.

All the main genres of music are available to listen to, and earn rewards from.

Thousands of radio stations are in the program, just either choose the subject or genre you want or search for what interests you. I decided to sign up not just for the purpose of this review, but because I listen to radio a lot anyway….So I thought why not get rewarded for something I’d be doing anyway.

What Did I discover At RadioLoyalty?

You get rewarded 250 points at Radioloyalty just for signing up, and you can also earn an extra 1000 points by completing all your personal account information.

You then get rewarded 10 points for each 10 minute duration that you listen to the radio.

RadioLoyalty are able to offer rewards as there is an advert shown before you begin listening. The advertisers of course pay RadioLoyalty for this.

You don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to, you just listen to the advert. You can click to find out more if you are interested.

Whether you do or you don’t interact with the advert doesn’t affect the points that you will receive for listening to the radio channel.

What Are The Points Worth, And When Can I Cash Out?

Earning 1250 points with RadioLoyalty, just by signing up and completing the account information, may sound like quite a lot, but unfortunately it isn’t. 294,000 points will get you a Pre-Paid Visa Gift Card worth $25.

Unfortunately you also have to pay the shipping and handling costs with your points as well, and that costs you 83,000 points.

At the time of writing this review the only reward that you can get for less points than this is a RadioLoyalty mug and some earphones. Other rewards in the RadioLoyalty store include things like iPads, headphones and portable speakers amongst others.

As you have probably already worked out, it will take an awful lot of radio listening to get enough points to earn a reward, but there are other ways to earn points on the site.

If you want a much better chance of redeeming your points and claiming a reward then you are better off doing some of the other tasks available at RadioLoyalty.

Taking surveys for example rewards you with a lot more points. Taking surveys are a popular way for many people to earn a little extra online.

Some sites such as cater more exclusively for those who want to just take surveys in order to earn rewards.

What you also have to consider is the fact that the points you have earned will expire after 365 days from the date awarded (or 180 days from when you last logged in).

Once the points expire then they are gone for good. RadioLoyalty confirm on their website however that they do use your oldest points first when redeeming them for rewards.

How Can I redeem My Points?

The website asks that you contact them when redeeming points. You can either contact them by phone or you can email their support email. Full contact details are available on the site.

What Did I Think Of Radioloyalty?

The points awarded for actually listening to the radio are of course very small. You do need to carry out other things on the site too like surveys, offers and watching videos if you want to build substantial points.

I can however frequently listen to at least an hour or two of radio per evening so the radio will build up the points too if you are an avid radio listener like me. I did find it quite satisfying to watch my points balance going up even though it wasn’t by very much.

Afterall you are getting points for doing nothing, and for something you enjoy and which you would be doing anyway.

What We Like About RadioLoyalty

  • Completely free to join
  • Huge selection of radio stations to choose from
  • Earn points for doing something you enjoy

What We Don’t Like About RadioLoyalty

  • High redemption amounts for the GiftCards ($25).
  • Points expire after 12 months, which seems a bit unfair.
  • Very slow way to build up points if you are doing so by just listening to the radio.

Some Final Thoughts About RadioLoyalty

RadioLoyalty is a legit company, but of course you’re not going to get rich anytime soon using this site.

I don’t really like reward sites that have higher redemption amounts because it can take too long to cash out.

I do however love radio, and I like the fact that there are lots of channels available to you at RadioLoyalty so I can see myself continuing to use this site.

This is a fun way to earn points that you can redeem for rewards. It is however a very slow earner and will take some time to reach the cash out amount.

  1. Radio Loyalty is not a legit company. It took a ridiculous amount of time to aquire the points to redeem the $25 GC. They did not pay it! After trying to resolve with the company they stopped answering my emails. I filed a BBB complaint and they ignored that too. Try taking the insane amount of time to aquire the points, it’s not just listening, you have to click captcha, it takes months and then they don’t even pay it 🙁

  2. Hi Andrew,
Thanks for sharing your experience of Radioloyalty with my readers, I’m sorry to hear that it hasn’t been a very positive one.
Yes it is very unlikely that you will reach the cash out by just listening to the radio, so you do need to do some of the tasks as well to build up decent points.
It’s understandable that you are not happy if you managed to reach the high cash out, and they are refusing to pay, which sounds very unreasonable. You didn’t give the reason why they are refusing to pay however,it would be interesting to know what reason they are giving.
I hope you manage to get it resolved. Thanks for taking the time to comment and give your feedback, it is really appreciated.

  3. Hello Ray. Long story short, after redemption I never got a confirmation of shipment and their website said processing as the status and that never changed to shipped. After trying to contact them several different times they said that they had mailed it and that they would look into it. After no reply for a long time I reach out and they say they need more time. After another period of no contact I try to contact them again and they just stop replying. This is the short version as I just don’t have the time right now to type out every single detail but I do have all the emails if anyone wants to see them. I am only hoping to save others from losing out on getting scammed. The company isn’t even active on their social media last I looked and if I still had a FB account you can bet I would be commenting on their page directly about this. Really sad company and this is the only time I’ve been scammed doing online surveys etc, there are A LOT of other options out there that are LEGIT.

  4. Andrew,
I really appreciate you coming back to me and reporting your experiences with RadioLoyalty. It is of course important for people to read feedback from real customers like yourself, whether that feedback is good or bad.
I have altered my review in the ‘cons’ of using the site to reflect your experience.
    Thanks again, it’s really appreciated.
