Cashcrate Review-Earn Money Online Doing Simple Tasks

Cashcrate review

This Cashcrate Review will tell you everything you need to know about this reward site. I signed up to the platform myself so I could give a full and accurate account of what can be expected once you become a member.

You may already be familiar with this survey site, or you may have seen one of their advertising banners somewhere. The green crates that form part of the branding of the site are quite distinctive (see below) and you may have stored (the crates lol) somewhere in your subconscious!

Cashcrate

The familiar green Cashcrate!

The thing is Cashcrate has been around for sometime. Given that they have been around for a while, and that they also happen to be a survey platform, means that it can only be good news if you are considering becoming a member.

Does it mean that Cashcrate members get truck loads of money for carrying out the simple tasks on the site? No, unfortunately it doesn’t, and if you know anything about Survey Sites you will know that no legitimate reward site will make that promise, because it just ain’t going to happen.

But what it does mean when a survey platform has stood the test of time, is that they do actually pay.

And that of course is a very reassuring thing.

If a survey site does, by the way, state that you can earn truck loads of money with surveys, and it charges a fee to get access to high paying surveys, then run a mile because you will get ripped off.

So, with Cashcrate you are off to a good start, it is long established, and it is free to join ( yep, no fees for non-existent very high paying surveys).

What is CashCrate?

There are affiliate links on this page, see my full disclosure

CashCrate is a Get-Paid-To (GPT) website that offers various opportunities for members to make money online. You can earn money by completing offers, taking surveys and even shopping. So if you fancy a break from surveys (yes they can get a bit tedious) you can choose other earning options too from the dashboard.

I noticed on the dashboard after I had signed up that there were daily surveys and numerous offers available, so I could see straight away that there would be no shortage of opportunities.

Soon after signing up I also noticed I got an email with a survey that matched the profile credentials I had given ( you get paid $0.50 for completing your profile-see a bit further below).

Cashcrate payments to membersSince its establishment in 2006, CashCrate has grown in stature to become one of the best GPT platforms. Its good reputation and high payouts have attracted a membership base of over 2 million online users over the past 10 years.

I also noticed a page on the site where Cashcrate published all the payouts to members, it states the members user name, and how much was paid to hem…….I always like to see this on a survey site.

Cashcrate has proven itself to be trustworthy, and pays its members. If you want to create a small side income from the comfort of your own home, then Cashcrate will provide it.

O.k, I am jumping ahead of myself a bit here, let’s go over the sign up process.

Getting Started on CashCrate

As I mentioned above, Registration on CashCrate is free, and the sign-up process is quick and easy

To get started all you have to do is provide your email address and create a password to secure your account.

You will receive a $1.00 registration bonus as soon as you finish creating your CashCrate account and bonus of $0.5 bonus for completing your profile. ( That is always welcome, as it gets you off to a good start working toward the payout sum)

How does it work?

Cashcrate review

By signing Up To Cashcrate you will be given the chance to earn through multiple income streams. The amount of money you can earn on CashCrate depends on the income stream you choose. Here are the five income streams that best describe how CashCrate works.

1. Completing Offers

Completing cash offers is one of the easiest ways of earning money on CashCrate. This task involves signing up for free sites and trying out different products.

Cashcrate Offers

Example Offers at Cashcrate

You can sort out offers according to rating, cost, payout and name. Cash rewards vary, but most offers pay $0.50. You must complete an offer in full to earn your reward.

2. Taking Surveys

Taking surveys is another great way of earning money on CashCrate. It involves answering simple questions and sharing your opinions on various products.

Cashcrate Surveys

Get Surveys Every Day At Cashcrate

CashCrate will send you surveys according to your geographical location and demographics. Each survey pays between $0.50 and $3.00.

Now if you are like me and you are a seasoned survey taker, it does of course go without saying that you should always give honest answers when taking surveys.

The reason for this is twofold. Firstly because it’s only fair, because afterall you are being paid to provide honest answers. But not only that, you should be honest because it will benefit you as well as your survey income can depend upon it.

If your answers are inconsistent then the platform cannot properly recognise what your correct demographic actually is. This could result in either fewer surveys, or if you do get surveys, you could find your self getting disqualified because your demographic just doesn’t meet the criteria.

3. Shopping Online

CashCrate offers you the opportunity to earn cash backs when you shop online. The essence of cash back shopping is to save money rather than earn money. You can make great savings by shopping via this platform.

4. Referral Program

The referral program on CashCrate is one of the most popular income streams on this platform.

You will earn up to 20% of what your referrals make, and 10% of what their referrals make. Make sure that your friends sign up using your unique referral link for you to earn commissions.

Referring people to any site that offers a commission structure is of course welcome, and Cashcrates referral program is generous in comparison to other survey platforms. The key to success however with referrals to survey sites is keeping your referrals active on the site.

As commissions are payable only once your referral starts earning (as is usually the case with all survey sites) it makes sense to ensure, as far as possible, that your referral maintains an interest in the site. Now the best way to do this is by letting them know you are happy to have them on board and you (as their referrer) are there to help out should they need it.

Cashcrate makes this easy for you as they allow you to message  each referrer you get. You don’t of course want to be spamming them or anything uncool like that, but instead just offer them a little moral support. It can make a big difference to your referrals overall experience of the site, so it can go a long way.

One of the best ways to get more referrals to a survey site is by blogging about it. The Cashcrate website contains free tutorials on how to set up an effective blog to ensure you get loads of referrals.

Blog about Cashcrate and get referrals

A blog or website can be set up with minimal cost, infact some website hosts have free options available. This strategy is an awesome way to create a passive income. Your account balance will start to go up without you having to complete surveys or offers.

Remember what I said though, in order to get the most out of referring people to the site, you should check in on your referrals now and again to see how they are getting on, and asking them if they need any assistance.

5. Points and Prizes

You can earn redeemable points and prizes by simply interacting on CashCrate. Major activities that will earn you points include playing games, filling bonus surveys, installing Apps and watching videos and slideshows. You can then redeem your points for prizes and gift cards.

Get Paid To Do Free Offers!

Payments and Withdrawals

The minimum cash out requirement is $20. You can withdraw your earnings at any time, but you will receive your rewards on the 1st or 15th of the following month from the date of withdrawal.

The total number of referrals you make will determine your membership level.

Subsequently, your membership level will determine how you receive payments.

Bronze members are those that have less than 25 active referrals while Silver Members have more than 25 active referrals.

Gold & Elite Members are those that have 100+ referrals and over $250 in lifetime earnings.

Bronze members will receive payments via Dwolla and PayPal only, while Silver members will receive payments via Dwolla, PayPal, Check or Direct Deposit.

Gold and Elite members are eligible for weekly payments using Dwolla, PayPal, Check, Direct Deposit and Wire Transfer. However, the minimum cash out for weekly payments is $100.

Cashcrate Keeps Its Members Up To Date

The sign of a good rewards platform is one that keeps things up to date and relevant. Cashcrate does exactly that. The Cashcrate blog is regularly updated, and the posts are categorises the box below on your dashboard. I found there to be some really interesting stuff in here that can help you to maximise your earnings on the site.

Features at Cashcrate

The ones you find are updated the most are;

Announcements

In this section you will find contest details and other special offers that come up on a regular basis. For example the site offered 10% more recently on surveys completed on April 1 (and it was no April fool)

Other announcements like competitions that will be run on the forums are the kind of things that you can expect here.

Newsletter

Keeps you up to date with recent news about the changes and improvements that occur on the site.

Alternatively you can just go straight to the blog to find out the latest developments at Cashcrate.

Get An Email Address That Just Caters For Cashcrate Surveys

If you want to make the most of your Cashcrate membership then one way to go is to make sure you aren’t going to miss out on any opportunities to maximise your earnings on the site.

Cashcrate do send you emails with available surveys. Now that could be a problem if you keep missing them all, and that can be very easily done if you are using an email address that you use for everything else going on in your life.

To avoid any kind of chaos and disorganisation in your email account, set up one that is dedicated purely to your Cashcrate account. If you are like me you will probably be signed up to a few survey panels as well, so this will only add to the mayhem.

Work Smarter At Cashcrate To Maximise Your Earnings!!!

It’s always a good idea to work smarter whatever you do in life, and getting an email account that serves your membership to one specific survey panel is definitely a sure fire way of working smarter.

Pros
• Free registration
• $1.00 sign up bonus + $0.50 profile bonus
• Monthly Payments via Dwolla, PayPal, Check & Direct Deposit
• Excellent refer-A-friend program
• International membership
• Low minimum cash-out requirement

Cons
• Unfortunately, this won’t become a full time income for you. This is a side income opportunity, however if you get your own website, there is the potential to earn a lot more with their referral program.

Final Thoughts

CashCrate is one of the best GPT websites available today. Like other GPT sites, CashCrate has a wide range of income opportunities. You can make a side income with this site doing simple tasks.

Cashcrate Score….7 out of 10 Cashcrate is a well established and reliable GPT platform that has numerous ways to earn, and it pays cash.

    Hi Amanda,
Thanks for dropping by to read my review and to comment. Cashcrate is worth trying out, you get $1 to sign up then 0.50 when you complete your profile. There are daily surveys and other offers. Cashcrate is a well established site, so see how you go. Remember though you won’t qualify for every survey, but that is an unfortunate fact of life when taking surveys online.

Everything these days is worth trying out. But I also think there are some limitations to surveys. Not every survey can be completed. You would also state the volume of work, which is very helpful in making decision.

    Ray - April 12, 2018

    Hi Edwin,
I agree that although Cashcrate is a legit platform, taking surveys isn’t going to earn you a lot. It can be time consuming like you say, because you won’t be able to qualify for all the surveys. This is the big limitation of online surveys, you could spend more time than you think trying to comp, eye surveys. This of course isn’t the case just with Cashcrate, it is something you will find with other survey sites too

I have tried a few GPT sites in the past. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a very nice experience. But your review has given me hope it can work out with CrashCrate. It’s very nice that the minimum checkout is only $20, doesn’t seem so hard to accomplish.

Too bad it can’t become full time income! But it definitely seems easy to use. I guess those with websites can profit better, as you said, but I think I will still give it a try. Thanks for the review!

You have the right idea trying more than one platform to see which ones work best for you. Cashcrate is worth adding as another option.

Mickey - April 4, 2018

As much as I want to trust these sites I can’t, as I’ve been trying so hard to get on to these kind of sites and didn’t make anything but cents. But I’m still trying to find one that works for me.

Reply
    Ray - April 6, 2018

    Hi Mickey,
If you sign up with Cashcrate and complete the profile you will instantly get $1.50. It will get you started, so you can just take it from there and see how you go. That is the way it is with survey platforms, some just don’t make much money for you. Cashcrate however does have ample surveys available and plenty of offers too, it is worth trying to see if it is the right platform for you. Good luck.

Does CashCrate let anyone answer surveys? I’ve encountered sites that only let US citizens get paid.

Reply
    Ray - April 5, 2018

    Hi Jim,
Cashcrate is available to members from lots of countries not just U.S. There may be some exceptions, so you will need to check with customer service.

You mentioned low minimum cash out requirement as a pro. How much is that exactly?

Reply
    Ray - April 5, 2018

    Hi Kevin,
The review does state that the cash out is $20, although there are lower cash outs on other sites. Cashcrate does however have plenty of earning opportunities making it an achievable target within a reasonable time. Thanks for your comment.

I’m quite confused with the shopping online option of cashcrate. What if you bought something more expensive than the price you’ll be paid, then it means I will not be able to save more?

Reply
Maklein - April 4, 2018

This is too good to be true. Paid surveys are real although some of the surveys cannot be completed due to the pre-screening requirements that they have.

Reply
    Ray - April 4, 2018

    Hi Maklein,
Yes I do agree, taking online surveys can be a frustrating experience if you don’t have the right demographic. You can waste a lot of time doing the screening surveys only to find out that you don’t qualify. Some survey sites work better than others. CashCrate is worth trying out because it is legit, and they do pay.

Cashcrate looks genuine and legit from your description. I wonder if it’s better than clixsense?

Reply
    Ray - April 6, 2018

    Hi,
Cashcrate is legit and so is Clixsense. It is always difficult to say which is the better of two platforms. You can make money on each of these GPT sites. I personally prefer the dashboard at Cashcrate as I have always found it difficult to navigate around at Clixsense. The choice of course is always up to you but I recommend you try both to see which one is more profitable for you.

When I want to start an earning site, the first thing I look for is the referral program. That of cashcrate looks enticing. I’ll look over the site later.

Reply
    Ray - April 4, 2018

    Hi Nnaemeka,
Yes a referral program can boost your income on Survey sites. Cashcrate has quite a good one. The key of course is getting a referral that is active on the site. If you have friends that take surveys, or better still if you have a blog, you can earn extra income. Cashcrate have information on their site about how to best go about setting up a blog that promotes the site, its worth a look.
