Cross Media Panel Review: Can You Earn Rewards by Simply Surfing the Internet?
Welcome to this Cross Media Panel Review. I will be finding out if you really can earn rewards on this platform for simply surfing the internet.
It sounds almost too good to be true, so let’s find out what this platform has to offer, and if it is as good as it sounds.
Introduction to Cross Media Panel
Cross Media Panel is a Google-sponsored market research project that does actually pay you to browse the internet. What this research program seeks to do is understand how real world users interact with the internet and other media.
Google uses the info and insights gathered from this research to deliver more relevant digital products and services to online users.
They also use this data to improve on existing digital products and enhance user experience across the internet.
Cross Media Panel was previously known as Screenwise Trends Panel before winding up and rebranding in June 2016. This panel is run by Research Now Inc., which is a world-renowned digital data collection company.
Joining Cross Media Panel
Cross Media Panel is restrictive when it comes to membership. Membership is by invitation only, and you must satisfy the following requirements:

• Received an invitation from an existing member

How does Cross Media Panel work?
Cross Media Panel gathers information about your internet and media activities using the Screenwise meters.
You must download and install the Screenwise meter extension on your computer internet browser or the Screenwise meter app on your smartphone, to participate on this panel.
The Screenwise app only gathers data about your surfing and does not interfere with your browsing activities or the functionality of your device.
The Screenwise app must run in the background of your device for you to be eligible for rewards.
How much can I earn working with Cross Media Panel?
The more you surf the internet, the higher your chances of earning more money. Additionally, the more devices you use to browse the internet at any given period, the higher you increase your earning potential for that period.
Signing up more devices to the app will earn you bonus rewards of up to $6. You will also receive an additional $3 per week for using all your registered devices to surf the internet.
It is essential that you keep the Screenwise meters running at all times when browsing the internet. Google has a right to terminate your participation if they cannot gather enough data from your devices.
For this reason, avoid switching to guest mode for your membership to remain active.
Occasionally, Cross Media Panel offers paid surveys to its members as a way of gathering more information about how people interact with the media.
Taking surveys is a great way of topping up on what you already earn on this platform.
The minimum payout threshold for the first withdrawal request is 25 USD. Subsequent withdrawal requests have a minimum payout threshold of $5 only.
However, Cross Media Panel does not pay in cash. You can only redeem your rewards for gift cards from major brands like Starbucks, Nike, Amazon, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target and Home Depot among many other brands.
All redemptions are processed within 48 hours.
• Free to join
Joining the Cross Media Panel is free. You will never be asked to pay any amount of money by your referrer.
• Reputable Platform
The Cross Media Panel is run by Research Now Inc., which is the world’s leading digital data collection company. The panel is owned by Google, which is a renowned internet technology company.
• Easy to use app
The Screenwise meter app is easy to use. All you have to do is to download and install the app, and then let it run in the background as you surf the internet. The app does not interfere with your internet activities neither does it affect your device.
• Prompt payments
Cross Media Panel pays promptly within 48 hours.
• Restricted membership
You must be a US resident to join this platform. Furthermore, membership is by invitation only. You must also of course invest in a compatible smartphone or PC to use the Screenwise extension and app
• No referral program
Cross Media Panel does not have a referral program. Most online freelancers rely on referral programs to earn extra cash from referring their friends and family members.
• No cash payments
This platform does not pay cash rewards. All redemptions come in the form of gift cards only. This is rather unappealing, especially to people who prefer cash incentives.
• High initial cashout requirement
The initial cashout threshold is $25. This is an extremely high amount considering that the pay on this platform is very low. It might take you ages to submit your first withdrawal request.
• Lack of privacy
Google will monitor all your online activities as long as the Screenwise app runs in the background when browsing the internet. This could be a little too invasive for some given you have to browse when the app is running in the background for you to earn your rewards.
• Low-income potential
Cross Media Panel has a very low-income potential. In fact, the company does not indicate the amount of money you will earn for participating in the research program. The only available information indicates that you can earn $3 per week for participating.
Cross Media Panel is a genuine research panel. However, the numerous limitations surrounding membership makes it rather difficult to work on this platform.
Furthermore, you cannot convert your rewards into cash, which will make it less appealing for some. Cross Media Panel is also invasive, as the company monitors all your online activities. Nonetheless it doesn’t hurt earning great rewards from brands like Starbucks and Amazon among many others.
Cross Media Panel Score …..5 out of 10
