CyberDictate Review

Thanks for joining me today for my review of CyberDictate.

CyberDictate is an online platform designed to pay its members for carrying out work as a freelance transcription strategy.

I have reviewed a number of transcription companies recently. Some of these platforms offer work only to those who are new to transcription. Others, like CyberDictate prefer experienced transcribers. If you are new to transcription you may want to check out transcription jobs for beginners.

Introduction to CyberDictate

CyberDictate is a transcription platform that offers job opportunities to experienced transcribers based in the USA.

The company focuses on providing online legal administrative support to law firms, medical professionals, protective services, insurance companies and other institutions that require legal transcription services.

In addition to offering legal transcription services, the company also offers:

– Standard transcriptions

– Multi-speaker transcriptions

– Administrative services

– Call-in dictation services

– Specialized personalized formatting

How Do You Become A CyberDictate Transcriber?

To become a transcriber with CyberDictate, you must submit an application just like any other formal job.

However, your chances of securing a job depend on your residential status. CyberDictate has a very strict policy of hiring U.S.-based transcribers only.

Essentially, you can only join this platform if you are a permanent resident of the USA. You might be required to submit any document as proof of residency.

Additionally, all applicants must undergo a stringent assessment test to determine their experience and eligibility. Prior to testing, you must possess a headset, foot pedal, and transcription software. You must also have the latest versions of Corel WordPerfect, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Your experience in the legal sector is essential if you are to get a job with CyberDictate.

The company demands that you must have 3 full years of experience working in law firms within the past 7 years! Additionally, you must have extensive working knowledge of legal terminology and specialized formatting of legal documents such as agreements, pleadings and formal correspondence.

Once CyberDictate approves your application, you must sign a non-disclosure agreement before you can negotiate terms of service and your pay rates.

How to Make Money with CyberDictate

The only way of making money with CyberDictate is through transcription. All you need to do is to convert audio legal files into written documents. However, this is not as easy as it seems. You must have astute typing skills and an ear for diction.

Essentially, your typing speed must be at least 85 words per minute, and you should be able to grasp various terminologies quickly and easily. Additionally, you must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

How Much Can You Earn With CyberDictate?

CyberDictate are very secretive when it comes to disclosing their pay rates. You can never know how much you can make until you are hired.

Furthermore, the fact that all transcribers sign a non-disclosure agreement means that information about the company’s pay rate is not in the public domain. You can only discuss with the company on your payment terms once they hire you.

It seems that pay rates vary according to your experience and the type of task done.

Nevertheless, from our research we have found that CyberDictate appears to pay about half a cent per word transcribed. This means that you have to transcribe at least 200 words to make a dollar.

If this is the case then the pay rate sounds quite low to us considering the fact that CyberDictate only hires experienced legal transcribers.

HOW TO INCREASE YOUR TRANSCRIPTION EARNINGS

Cashing out

CyberDictate does not disclose how transcribers are paid due to their non-disclosure agreement policy.

However, we believe that they use popular payment processors such as PayPal and direct bank transfers to pay their workers.

Nevertheless, all transcribers are responsible for their individual tax returns and income declarations.

Is CyberDictate Worth Trying?

CyberDictate is a professional platform that offers plenty of transcription jobs.

However, the company only employs experienced transcribers with over 3 years of experience in the legal sector. Furthermore, you cannot apply for a position if you live outside the United States.

Also, to be successful with this company you must invest in good quality and up to date transcription equipment and software prior to testing.

For these reasons, CyberDictate is probably not going to be a good opportunity for aspiring transcribers who are still in the process of finding their way in the industry.

However if you have the necessary experience and skill along with up to date equipment and software then there is likely to be good opportunities for you With CyberDictate.
