Huyu is an iOS and Android App that is designed to reward you for scanning your grocery shopping receipts and completing surveys.

In my review today I will be finding out what you need to know about the Huyu platform to help you decide if it’s the right reward app for you.

I will be uncovering what real users are saying about it. I will also be weighing up the pros and cons so you can make a more informed decision about joining.

If you spend a lot on groceries every week then HuYu can help you get back some of your hard-earned cash.

The HuYu app can be used with most of the top supermarkets in the United Kingdom. There are no restrictions on the type of items that you can purchase, so you can select exactly what you need and get back cash for other grocery bills.

How the HuYu App Works

The HuYu App lets you get cash that can be used with popular online retailers. Once you sign up for your account, you can start saving your supermarket receipts. When you are ready, you simply scan them to get points. These points are then used to earn vouchers.

It’s easier to stay consistent with earning these rewards if you snap a photo of the receipt as soon as the cashier hands it to you. You then simply upload to put some money back in your pocket.

You may automatically think of offline shopping when it comes to groceries, but you may also shop online. You can collect points from those receipts as well.

All of your online shopping at Tesco and the other major brands like Waitrose, can help you to get vouchers.

Each voucher can be used in many different stores. If you like shopping for bulk goods on Tesco, you can use your vouchers instead of money. HuYu App vouchers can also be used at Amazon, iTunes, and many other stores.

The app also has surveys, so you earn by sharing your opinions. Each survey adds 15 points to your account and can be completed in minutes.

You may not get a lot of surveys to complete however, as this platform is primarily about analyzing data from receipts.

How Much Can You Earn With Huyu?

How much you earn depends on how often you buy groceries. If you have a large family or shop regularly for other reasons, you’ll earn more quickly. Everybody can earn with this app because of course we all have to eat.

It is important to note that rewards are related to the number of receipts that you submit, not the value of each receipt.

If you normally stop at the supermarket every day for their rotisserie chicken, and you submit all those receipts, you will earn more points than a person who only shops once a week and submits one receipt.  You are rewarded per receipt, not as a percentage of the amount you spend.

Each receipt is worth five points, whether it is for online or offline shopping. You need 500 points to get to the minimum pay out of £5. So as a regular supermarket shopper you should be able to reach this fairly quickly.

There is also no need to worry about going over the maximum amount of shopping trips allowed by the app. That’s because the app allows 10 grocery trips per week, which is probably more shopping trips that most of us have! Not only that you can also add 10 points to your balance for a home delivery.

You can also earn further by referring friends too, although this feature isn’t always available so you will need to keep a look out for when it is. When it is available you will find referral code through ‘refer a friend’ in the ‘Earn’ section.

Also, if you already have a supermarket discount card, you know how good it feels when you can use your points to buy groceries or treat yourself to something you like. The HuYu App lets you enjoy that feeling. This app helps you to double up or even triple up on your shopping rewards.

If you get cash back from your supermarket and credit cards, and get HuYu App vouchers for that shopping, you triple your rewards!

And since the HuYu App also gives you the opportunity to earn by answering surveys, you don’t have to rely solely on your grocery shopping.

Huyu Reviews From Real Users

At the time of my latest update of this review  The Huyu App has a score of 4.3/5 from 1,668 reviews at Google Play. The app also has a score of 4.6/5 from 3,025 reviews at The App Store.

There are lots of users of this app that are happy with their experience. A number of members report having been able to cash out their rewards on more than one occasion.

Like all apps there are some complaints. The complaints I found were mainly surrounding the fact that there are only a few big UK supermarkets were points can be earned. Some users wish there were more shops available.

What Are The Pros Of The Huyu App?

• There’s no limit to what you can buy in the supermarket to earn points with this app. Shop for your community BBQ, a school bake sale, or your next vacation, and collect your rewards. Just ensure that you shop for all the items you need as frequently as you need them, and don’t try to wait for a single shopping day, because that will not help you.
• Once a payment is request is made, it is processed almost instantly. You won’t encounter any of the uncomfortable delays that leave you wondering if your cash will ever arrive.

What Are The Cons Of The Huyu App?

• The HuYu App only works with the major supermarket brands, like Waitrose and Tesco. If you shop at a small neighborhood store, you can’t submit the receipt.

Some Final Thoughts On the Huyu App

The HuYu App is a good idea, since everyone has to go to the grocery store at some point. However, you get only a few points every time you send in a receipt.

This means it will take a while for you to get to pay out. However, it’s nice to be rewarded for your shopping and extra income always helps.
