Thanks for joining me today for my Picoworkers review
Picoworkers is an online platform for freelancers that says it offers you cash for completing short tasks and long-term, ongoing jobs too. It describes itself as an online marketplace connecting freelances with business owners.
In my Picoworkers review today I will be finding out how much you can earn on the platform, to help you decide if it is worth joining.
On the face of it, it seems to be a reasonable marketplace for making extra cash from home for those looking for quick cash and for individuals who don’t want to commit to long hours of work.
We need however to take a closer look however to see if your time will be well spent here.
Is Picoworkers Legit?
Yes Picoworkers is a legit website for making money online. The site was founded in 2013 by a US-based company under the clarion call that everyone can now work and make money online.
If you are already familiar with other micro job websites, then Picoworkers might be a site worth considering.
It is free to join anyway, so after reading this review you may decide it’s worth a try. Let’s find out how everything works.
How To Register At Picoworkers
The process of creating an account with Picoworkers is straightforward. You only need to provide your full name, email address and country of residence.
You must also create a profile page by entering your nickname, profile page title and a short bio. Your Picoworkers account will be credited with a signup bonus worth $0.50 as soon as you verify your email address.
I signed up and saw my bonus in my account balance below;
How Does Picoworkers Work?
Picoworkers is divided into two sections, one for employers and one for workers. Employers post various jobs and small tasks on the site for workers to complete. Some of the most common tasks include:
• Signing up for websites
• Watching YouTube videos
• Liking Facebook pages
• Following social media accounts
Once I had signed up we saw approx 400 of these types of tasks. They’re not unfortunately very high paying. They ranged from around $0.02 to $0.20 for each task. By clicking on a task you were taken to a page that explained what was required, and the proofs you had to provide.
Although I couldn’t find any at the time I signed up, some jobs that’s really posted are more intricate, and require advanced professional skills to be completed. These include:
• Designing web pages
• Reviewing websites
• Testing digital products
• Writing content for blogs and social media profiles
As a Picoworker, you are only required to complete tasks as per the requirements of the employer, and submit proof of completion for you to receive your earnings.
Submitting a false proof will result in a red flag and subsequent termination of your account after three warnings.
Check out how things work on the site in the video below;
Points, Levels and Success Rates
Although the tasks are very low paid, as you continue you will be able to improve your earnings.
Picoworkers has a rating system that ranks workers according to their performance. Employers will rate your work at the end of each job or task according to your performance or results.
You must maintain a success rate of above 75% to continue working on this platform. To achieve a high success rate, all you have to do is to follow instructions accordingly.
The Income Potential At Picoworkers
Unfortunately the income potential is very low. Short-term tasks only pay between 2 cents and 20 cents, while ongoing (long-term) jobs pay up to $15 per task.
From these figures, it is easy to tell that potential earnings are not very lucrative, at best this is a very small side income.
The maximum amount of money that you should expect per month once you perform the tasks accurately and consistently is between $30 and $50.
Picoworkers also has a referral program that pays you 5% of what your referrals earn on the site. However, unless your referrals are active on the site you won’t earn a lot here.
Its helpful if you genuinely enjoy working with Picoworkers and you have managed to earn quite a bit yourself. Your enthusiasm will then be conveyed to your referrals who will then be more likely to use the site themselves.
Picoworkers Payment Method
Requesting payment is one of the most intricate processes on Picoworkers. This is due to the numerous formalities that you have to undertake before you can receive your earnings.
Picoworkers will first verify your photo, and then confirm your full name to establish your identity. You must also answer your security question before submitting a withdrawal request.
This entire process takes close to two working weeks and any discrepancies in your data will result in non-payment.
The minimum payable balance on this platform is $7.00, excluding the signup bonus, which cannot be withdrawn.
However, you must have more than this amount to cash out considering that Picoworkers charges a processing fee for every withdrawal transaction.
These fees are significantly higher, ranging from 3% to 8% of the withdrawal amount. Some payment processors charge a flat rate ranging from $1 to $5 regardless of your withdrawal amount.
You may request for payment via Amazon gift cards, US bank check, PayPal, Payza, Paysafecard or CryptoCurrency.
At the time of my latest update of this review Picoworkers has a TrustPilot.com score of 4.2/5, with most of those who have left reviews being happy with the site.
Some however complain about accounts being blocked. We of course don’t know who is really at fault here.
One member complains about getting no response to their issue with mis-Rated jobs. A couple more complain that they haven’t been paid by Picoworkers. Another complains that some tasks involve signing up to adult websites.
Picoworkers also has a 3/5 score on sitejabber, with similar praise and complaint issues.
My readers have also posted some of their experiences with Picoworkers in the comments section below. I would love to hear from more readers who have used the Picoworkers platform.

Is Picoworkers Worth Joining?
Picoworkers is a genuine online platform that pays. However, the strict nature of this platform coupled with the lengthy processing of payments has drawn a lot of criticism from many freelancers.
Various reviews from members suggest that it can take a while for you to receive your earnings. Furthermore, the complex process of verifying your identity before receiving payment can work against you in case of any slight discrepancy in your profile data.
However, if you can maintain a 75% success rate, and you do not mind the low income coupled with high transaction fees, then it could be worth it for you.
