Testbirds Review: Get Paid For Testing Apps

Testbirds Review

Thanks for joining me today for my review of the German based testing platform Testbirds

Perhaps you have heard about this platform and you want to check out whether the platform is legit. You may also be wondering whether it’s worth signing up to so you earn some extra dollars online doing stuff you like doing.

If so then you’ve come to the right place as our in-depth review will cover all you need to know about this site including how you sign up, how things work, and of course how much you are likely to get paid should you decide to sign up.

If you reckon you have what it takes to be a tester of digital products, then this could be the opportunity for you, so let’s take a look and find out.

 Introduction To TestBirds

Testbirds is simply a usability-testing platform.

The concept of usability testing involves trying out various digital products and software applications with the aim of identifying bugs and error messages.

It also examines the functionality of these digital products and their ease of use.

Testbirds offers you an opportunity to earn money by becoming a paid tester. It is a flexible option too because you can earn money using your smartphone, laptop or slate by testing new software and the latest technologies.

Is TestBirds Legit?

Testbirds is a legitimate company with its headquarters based in Munich, Germany. Ever since its establishment in 2011, Testbirds has experienced considerable growth and sustainability.

The company has opened offices in UK, Sweden, Netherlands, Hungary, Italy, and Russia.

Joining TestBirds

Joining testbirds

Testbirds is open worldwide, and the site accepts both professional testers and newbies. In fact usability testing does require individuals from all walks of life.

Age too is not a deterring factor, but anyone below 18 years must seek the consent of a parent or guardian before registering with Testbirds.

To become a member of this platform, you must possess a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

You must also complete your profile, select preferred devices for testing and pass an entry test to be eligible for consideration as a paid tester.

You will find the entry test on your tasks section once you’ve added a device to your profile. You will receive a joining bonus of 5 euros and 15 experience points (see further info below) once you have completed the test.

How TestBirds Works

Your role as a tester involves trying out digital products and applications such as

  •  Websites and Portals
  •  Mobile apps
  •  Internet of Things
  •  Games
  •  Wearables, e.g., Smartwatches and trackers

Testbirds will send you test invites once projects that match your profile become available.

There are 3 types of tests available to testers

  • Bug Test-This is a test where you are required to find bugs or technical errors. You will get paid for any bugs you discover.
  • Usability Test-As suggested by the name you will be testing the usability of a product. For example you will comment upon how easy a website or app is to navigate.
  • Bugability Test-A combination of the above two types of test.

Make sure you review payment and test requirements before accepting any project. You must also complete a test within 24 hours after agreeing to the terms and requirements.

The Testbirds review team will assess your feedback for purposes of quality assurance before releasing your payment.

Experience Points

Experience Points are competitive points that highlight your experience as a tester. These points show how well you can carry out a test and produce a test report without errors or revisions.

Activities that attract experience points include

• Producing test reports with minimal revisions
• Identifying bugs
• Passing bird school quizzes.
The more Experience Points you earn, the more test invites you will get.

Community Points (CPs)

Community points refers to points earned for helping the Testbirds community grow. CPs are not competitive like Experience Points, and they have nothing to do with testing. You will get access to special test projects, Testbirds merchandise, and more invites.

You can earn Community Points by:

• Recruiting testers
• Writing a guest blog
• Being selected as Bird of the Month (Top tester of the month)

How Much Does Testbirds Pay?

The pay varies depending on the requirements and the duration of the test.

Most tests pay on average 20 Euros, while professional testers earn $50 and above for more complex tests. Each test takes about 20 to 30 minutes to complete, with complex tests taking a longer duration.

The longer the duration of the test, the higher the pay you will earn. Bonuses are also available for finding serious technical bugs and errors. The amount of money that you can make depends on the number of tests done, and the number of bugs found.

You can easily increase your earning potential by providing high-quality test reviews.

Payments and Withdrawals At Testbirds

Testbirds does not have a minimum pay out requirement, and all payment transactions are made via PayPal.

You will receive your payments directly into your PayPal account once the Testbirds appraisal team verifies and approves your submission.

Final Thoughts On Testbirds

Testbirds is certainly a site worth considering. Firstly, the pay on this platform is high when compared to other usability testing sites available on the internet.

Apart from earning a decent side income, working with Testbirds gives you a chance to learn new concepts about technology and develop new skills.

Whether you are a beginner or a professional tester, Testbirds is an equal opportunity employer. If you have a passion for technology and trying out new applications, then consider joining Testbirds.

Thanks for reading this review of testbirds. Let me know in the comments if you have used this platform and want to share your experience.

Star Rating 3.5 out of 5-This is a good usability testing platform that pays well in comparison to other similar sites. Your earnings will be improved if you can provide high quality testing, or build community points.
